Patrons in the Artist's Studio

Viewing numerous paintings and drawings, these apparently wealthy patrons determine which piece of artwork they should purchase from this cluttered studio of the artist. From this aerial perspective, the viewer glimpses not only the patron, but the artist and his model as well. Created in sepia ink and pastel, this work comes from part of a larger series in which Steele investigates this unusual perspective. The original is available for purchase and is in perfect archival condition in the collection of the artist.
